Revision Is Not
a Niche Offering.
At Niagara Plastic Surgery Centre, approximately 10% of Dr. Huq’s facelift cases are revisions of procedures originally performed by other surgeons. It is a regular and important part of his practice.
He understands the unique challenges of revision surgery and the emotional weight his revision patients carry when they walk through the door. His focus is on what can be done now — not on critiquing what was done before. He approaches every revision patient without judgment.

Results that look unnatural
Tight skin, a pulled or windswept look, distorted earlobes, or an exaggerated appearance — typically the result of an original surgeon relying on skin tension rather than repositioning the deeper structures.
Premature fading
Results that diminish within just a few years — often because a superficial technique tightened the skin without addressing the SMAS, so the structural cause of aging was never corrected.
Asymmetry
Post-surgical imbalance where one side of the face looks different from the other. Minor asymmetry is normal; significant or noticeable imbalance can be addressed through revision.
Complications or scarring
Nerve issues, poor scarring, contour irregularities, or skin problems from a previous procedure that require surgical correction by a more experienced surgeon.

Done Right.
Revision facelift surgery is more technically demanding than a primary facelift. The anatomy has been altered, scar tissue is present, and the tissue planes may have been disrupted. This is why it requires a surgeon with substantial experience in revision work specifically.
In many cases, the revision involves converting a previous skin-only or superficial SMAS procedure into a proper deep plane facelift. By releasing and repositioning the deeper structures that were not addressed the first time, Dr. Huq can achieve the natural, lasting result that should have been delivered originally. He will be direct about what is achievable within previously operated tissue.
The consultation for revision patients
The revision consultation is thorough and takes time. Dr. Huq needs to understand what procedure was performed previously and when, what your original goals were, what specifically bothers you about the current outcome, and any surgical reports, photos, or records you can provide (helpful but not required).
Based on this assessment, he will create a revision plan, explain the approach, and provide a personalized quote. If he believes a revision is not in your best interest, he will tell you directly.
Revision policy
Dr. Huq may offer complimentary revisions for his own patients on a case-by-case basis. For revisions of other surgeons’ work, standard pricing applies based on the complexity and extent of the corrective procedure.
