It has been a great privilege to be the local plastic surgeon in Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region since 2000. I have truly enjoyed meet- ing thousands of patients and clients and their families every year. God willing, I hope to continue to serve the area for many years to come. To better serve the people of Niagara, we are very excited to an- nounce the grand opening of the Niagara Institute of Cosmetic En- hancement...N.I.C.E. The centre has plans underway for full accredi- tation as a licensed independent health facility featuring four separate state-of-the-art operating suites. This new facility will allow us to perform procedures of greater magnitude entirely within the Institute providing our patients an unparalleled level of confidentiality, discre- tion, comfort, and safety. Dr. Nasim S. Huq, M.D., FRCSC, M.Sc., FACS performs all surgi- cal procedures at N.I.C.E. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Phy- sicians and Surgeons of Canada. As a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at McMaster University, Dr. Huq is committed to providing the highest quality of care possible to his patients. He has often been featured on television, most recently on the Life Network’s “Skin Deep” program on which he performed a facelift for a Niagara resident. Dr. Huq is highly skilled in a broad range of leading-edge techniques in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, specializing in those for the face, neck, eyelids, breasts, hands and body.

Equally as exciting and with your help, we have been able to make significant contributions back to the community and beyond. This year the new Emergency Department at the Greater Niagara General Hospital opened its doors and an entire suite has been donated by the Niagara Plastic Surgery Centre. Hospice Niagara in St. Catharines officially opened a few week ago and again, we are happy to contrib- ute to this worthy cause. Last year a significant portion of proceeds from the Niagara Plastic Surgery Centre were donated to the Red Cross for the Tsunami victims of the Western Pacific. The next year, we have directed proceeds toward earthquake relief in Central Asia. Also this year, we are very happy to announce the opening of Nova House, a women’s and children’s shelter for South Niagara. The Dr. Huq and Dr. Danial Endowment Fund was created specifically for these women and children of abuse. With the grand opening of our new private surgical facilities, the Ni- agara Institute of Cosmetic Enhancement, Dr. Huq and dedicated staff Dr. Sarah Danial, Vikki Livingston, Kim Schaubel, Patti Weaver, Sarah Mountain, and Helen Friend wish to express their ap- preciation to the community for making our good works possible and we look forward to extending the benefits of our exciting new facility and services to the people of Niagara.
